Lahore: Girl stabbed to death for honour
LAHORE: A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death allegedly by her brother over honor in City Raiwind police area on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Naseem Bibi, daughter of Anwar Masih of Pajian village. Police said Pervaiz Masih’s friends provoked him that his sister was having illicit relations with a neighbour. Upon which, the youth admonished her and asked her to shun illicit relations but she continued. On the day of incident, Pervaiz exchanged hot words with his sister, stabbed her repeatedly and fled from the scene, leaving her in a pool of blood.
The injured girl was taken to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. An Edhi ambulance removed the body to the City morgue for autopsy. Police have booked the accused on the statement of Salamat Masih, brother of the deceased girl, with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigation is underway.
