Rawalpindi:Man arrested from DG Khan in connection with killing of 5
RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in killing five people in a hotel at Pirwadhai from Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday night and shifted him to Rawalpindi, police said on Friday. According to police, they have also recovered the gun which he used in the massacre. The arrested man, identified as Ali Raza, came to blows with the hotel staff during a deal of sexual abuse, police claimed. Later, the arrested man allegedly gunned down five people and wounded two others in the hotel located in front of the Pirwadhai Police Station in the wee hours of Monday (May 28) and escaped from the scene. He stormed into almost every room of the hotel and sprayed bullets on hotel employees and guests.
The hotel — ‘Khan Rehaish Gah’ — was located in a street, a few yards from the police station and Irfan Khan was running it. Those who were killed included Wali Khan, 27, son of Nasir Khan (Buner, Swat); Mubashir, 16, son of Khalid (Nowshera); Hazrat Umar, 17, son of Hazrat Gul (Mardan); Mohammad Munir Kabuli, 22 (Afghanistan); and Mohammad Bashir, 22, son of Alam Noor (Kalam). Faisal, 27, son of Liaquat (Mansehra), was wounded and an unidentified man who sustained a bullet in his leg managed to escape from the hospital after surgery.
