Islamabad: 23 outlaws arrested; big booty recovered
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have arrested 10 outlaws, including four dacoits, and recovered four pistols, 1.130 kilogrammes of hashish, three bottles of wine and 40 cans of beer from them, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. On a tip-off, SP (Rural) Faisal Bashir Memon constituted special team headed by Koral police station SHO Inspector Mehboob Hussain, which raided a hideout and arrested four dacoits. They were identified as Gulfam, Tabasam, Javed and Abrar. Zeeshan, another outlaw, was arrested for having four bottles of wine in his possession.
Meanwhile, Sub–Inspector Hakim Khan arrested a drug pusher, Aftab alias Babu, during a routine patrolling and recovered from him 1.130 kilogrammes of hashish.
ASI Javed Iqbal, of the Shalimar police, arrested Altaf Jazbi for having 40 cans of beer while ASI Khan Baig, of the Bani Gala police, arrested Wahadat Hussain for possessing a 30–bore pistol. The Ramna police apprehended Faraz Ahmed for his alleged involvement in an incident of aerial firing.
Sub–Inspector Tariq Pervez, of the Shehzad Town police, arrested Akbar Ali Khan for possessing a 30–bore pistol. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
Meanwhile, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) busted a notorious gang besides arresting 13 other outlaws, including a woman. They recovered from the outlaws some snatched mobile phones, cash and 5 kilogrammes of hashish and 1.070 kilogrammes of heroin. Wine and weapon were also recovered from them.
According to a CIA official, a special team, under the supervision of CIA In-Charge Bashir Ahmed Noon, busted a notorious gang of dacoits and arrested 13 other persons during last week. Those arrested were identified as Nawab Khan alias Nawabi and Shaukat Ali. They confessed to have committed several dacoities in Shehzad Town. Police have also recovered stolen cash and other valuables from their possession.
Meanwhile, a female accused, identified as Hassan Taj, was arrested for possessing 1 kilogram of hashish during a special checking at Motorway bus-stop, in Tarnol police area.
Likewise, 12 more accused persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in burglaries in various areas of the capital, drug pushing and possessing illegal weapon. They were identified as Babar, Asif, Abid Khan, Aftab, Waseem, Sharafat, Zeeshan, Samuel Masih, Ejaz, Bilal Shah, Moon Younus and Maqsood Ahmed.
The CIA police also recovered stolen cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, pistols and 1.070 kilogrammes of heroin from their possession.
