Islamabad: 4 killed in separate incidents
ISLAMABAD: Four persons, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents in different localities of the city, police said. A man was stabbed to death by his rivals at Adiala Road on Tuesday morning, sources in the ‘Rescue–1122’ said. The 40–year–old victim was going towards his house when his rivals intercepted him and stabbed him. He died on the spot. The dead body of the victim was shifted to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital for postmortem.
A 40–year–old housewife, Nargis, was strangled to death by unidentified persons in her house in Mohallah Noorani in the jurisdiction of Airport Police Station, police said. They said that her dead body was wrapped in a bedsheet. Police have recovered the dead body on the complaint of the neighbours after stinking smell spread in the area. Police said that her husband was living abroad for the last 8 years and she was alone.
In Islamabad, a speeding truck of CDA Fire Brigade hit a bike-rider killing him on the spot on Lehtrar Road in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police Station, police said. The truck driver managed to escape from the scene.
The Saddar Police, Wah Cantonment, found the dead body of a taxi driver, identified as Nazakat, lying near a graveyard, police said. He was strangled to death by unidentified persons.
