Karachi: 2 suspected gangsters remanded
KARACHI: A magisterial court on Tuesday remanded two gang war suspects in CID police custody till June 9 and directed the investigation officer to submit challan on the next date of hearing. Amir Ahmed Bengali alias Chilkha and Javed Ahmed alias Raja were produced before Judicial Magistrate (West) Afzal Roshan against whom the CID police levelled serous charges of police encounter, murder, attempt to murder and possession of illegal arms. The court was told that the accused were involved in heinous crimes and they were apprehended after a police encounter from Pak Colony area. The police alleged that they recovered two Kalashnikovs, two pistols, two hand grenades and other arms from the possession of the accused who used to change political affiliations but were the part of Lyari gang war.
Granting police plea, the court remanded the accused in CID custody till June 09 and directed the IO to submit charge-sheet against them on the next date of hearing.
As a whole, the same court twice issued non–bailable warrants of arrest against Uzair Baloch, Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla and Rehmatullah during the last month after Anti–Terrorism Court–III, headed by Ghulam Mustafa Memon, had declared Uzair Baloch, Sikandar and others as absconders.
