Karachi: Police book Raisani’s son, his friends
KARACHI: Following court orders, the Gizri police registered a case against the Balochistan chief minister’s son and his friends on Wednesday. Gizri SHO Shabbir Mustafa told The News that Nazia Baloch, wife of Muhammad Amjad, had filed an application before the district judge (South). She had submitted that her niece Mahnoor was engaged to Raees Raisani, son of Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani. Her niece visited her residence and asked her to close her account on the social networking website Facebook, but she refused.
Later, her brother-in-law and Mahnoor’s father, Tariq Baloch, also visited her residence and threatened her of dire consequences. He warned her that if she did not deactivate her Facebook account, Raees Raisani and his friends including Iqbal would not spare her.
The SHO said a case was registered against Raees Raisani, Iqbal and others on Nazia’s complaint in compliance with court orders under Section 506-B.
