Karachi: 2 gang war accused remanded in CID custody
KARACHI: Two accused, Amir Ahmed Bengali alias Chilka and Javed Ahmed alias Raja, involved in the Lyari gang war, were on Thursday produced before the Judicial Magistrate (West), Ashfaq Ahmed Nizamani, who remanded them in CID police custody till June 17. The investigation officer in the case submitted before the court that the accused had committed heinous crimes. The IO prayed to the court to allow the police to further interrogate the accused. The court allowed the plea.
According to the allegations, the CID police had recovered two Kalashnikovs, two pistols and two hand–grenades from the possession of the accused.
The CID police alleged that the accused were in the habit of changing their political connections as earlier they used to claim to be the activists of one party and now they were asserting to be the activists of another party. It was clear that they were part of the Lyari gang war, a CID police officer claimed.
