Attock: Police nab swindler
ATTOCK: Attock police arrested an alleged swindler and claimed to recover from him the looted valuables on Monday. Spokesperson for the district police, Malik Javed told the media persons here that after lodging of numerous complaints of swindling against a fake ISI Major, police launched an operation to hunt him down. As a result, the police team traced the accused, F.H., a resident of Rawalpindi district and later arrested him in a planned operation along with recovery of army uniform, looted jewelry and weapons from him besides a car he had used during the crime activities.
Later police obtained his remand for interrogation during which, the spokesperson claimed, he confessed of his involvement in five similar cases in Haripur district and one in Islamabad in which he had also been declared a proclaimed offender (PO).
It is to mention that the accused had deprived a private school’s principal of his 13–tola gold ornaments worth Rs.7 million and a pistol under the garb of investigation in kidnapping case of Punjab governor’s son, introducing himself as a Major.
