Islamabad: 2 dacoits gang busted
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have busted two gangs of dacoits and arrested 24 outlaws besides recovering nine pistols, 162 rounds, 3,370 kilogram hashish, 200 gram heroin, 28 wine bottles, 196 cans of beer, 225 liter alcohol from them, a police spokesman said on Monday. On a tip off, SP (Rural) Faisal Bashir Memon assigned task to DSP Shehzad town Arshad Ali Khokhar for immediate raids on the hideout of dacoits. Special teams were constituted under his supervision including SHO Shehzad town Khalid Masood Akram, Sub–Inspector Muzaffar Hussain, ASIs Naeem Yousuf, Salman Shah which raided at the described place and arrested nine dacoits.
Police also recovered weapons from their possession who confessed to commit dacoities in Shehzad town and other areas. Other police teams headed by ASP Industrial area Yasir Afridid and SHO Sabzi Mandi police station Asjad Mehmud arrested eight persons during special checking and recovered 2.20 kilogram hashish, five wine bottles, 225 liter alcohol from their possession.
