Islamabad: 487 bottles of wine, arms seized
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have arrested seven outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 487 bottles of wine, two 12–bore rifles and a 30–bore pistol from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. On a tip-off, CIA Assistant Sub–Inspector Tariq Rauf apprehended two bootleggers, namely Asif Munawar and Nadeem, during patrolling and recovered 487 bottles of wine from them.
Sub–Inspector Sultan Mahmood, from the Secretariat police station, arrested an accused, Wali, for having a 30–bore pistol. ASI Muhammad Azeem, from Shalimar police station, arrested one Ejaz Ahmed and recovered stolen items worth Rs 55,000 from him.
