Jhang: 3 women killed for honour in 24 hours
JHANG: The incidents of killing for honour are rampant here in Jhang as three women were killed for honour over the past 24 hours while a person was killed over a petty family dispute separately. As per detail, one Khadim Hussain was killed over old enmity. Reportedly, Sadiq, Gul Muhammad, Mehdi, Ghulam Muhammad, Ahmed Nawaz and four other unidentified persons entered the house of Karam Hussain and opened indiscriminate firing on his son Khadim Hussain, killing him on the spot. The Garh Mahraja Police have registered a case against six nominated and four unidentified accused.
In another incident that took place in Mauza Paberwala in the remit of Qadirpur Police, one Ramzan axed his nice Farzana to death with the help of his unidentified accomplice.
Ramzan suspected that Farzana had illicit relations with someone of the village.
The police have registered a case of the incident.
Similarly, one Riaz Hussain, a resident of 20 Ghagh area killed his married sister identified as Parveen who was staying at her parents’ home after developing differences with his husband. The Shorkot Police have registered a case of the incident.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Yousaf, a resident of Chak–253 killed his sister Kaneez for honour. As per detail Kaneez eloped with her lover few days back and returned home after the decision of panchiyat.
However, her brother Muhammad Yousaf bore a grudge and was awaiting an appropriate opportunity to avenge the disgrace caused to the family by her. He axed her to death and fled the scene.
The Mochiwala Police have registered a case.
In yet another incident, Sajjad Khan, a resident of Mauza Rodo Sultan opened indiscriminate firing on his brother-in-law Safdar, son of Ghulam Khan on a petty family dispute. Resultantly he sustained critical wounds and was admitted to RHc Rodo Sultan. The Athara Hazari Police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, three persons including Faiz, Akhtar Abbas and Manzar entered the house of Mai Bakhan and beaten her and her nice Mumtaz with sticks on a minor family dispute. The women sustained serious injuries. The Shorkot Police have registered a case of the incident.
