Islamabad: 2 held for killing man
ISLAMABAD: The Shahzad Town police claimed to have arrested two persons, including a woman, for allegedly killing the brother–in–law of the woman. On May 9, Mohammad Riaz Hussain complained to the police that his brother Imtiaz Hussain, a taxi driver, left the house after receiving a phone call but did not return. The police found the body of the taxi driver in a green belt at Shakrial near Zia Masjid the same night and registered a murder case against unidentified persons.
During investigation, the police found his mobile phone missing but after a few days it was activated with a different SIM. As a result, the police traced a man and picked him up. During interrogation, he told the police that he had got the phone from his brother.
When the police arrested the brother and interrogated him, he confessed to killing the taxi driver in connivance with the victim’s sister-in-law. It was revealed that the alleged killer had developed illicit relations with the victim’s sister-in-law.
However, on May 9, Mr Imtiaz came back early – at 4pm – and found his sister-in-law with a stranger in an objectionable conduction. In order to conceal their illicit relations, they attacked him and repeatedly hit his head with an iron rod.
