Lahore: Vendor stabbed to death over money dispute
LAHORE: A 28–year–old vegetable–seller was stabbed to death by three people over a monetary dispute near Bhatta No 1 in Green Town here on Sunday. Police inquiries revealed that Waseem of Baggrian had a dispute of few hundred rupees with his counterpart Rehmat and his brother Sajjad. On Sunday, they exchanged harsh words and later both brothers and their accomplice attacked Waseem and injured him seriously. The injured was rushed to a hospital where he died. Witnesses managed to capture Rehmat and Sajjad and handed them over to police.
Township ASP Fida Hussain said the police were interrogating the suspects to determine the nature of quarrel as it was yet to establish that who was lender.
He said a case had been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s brother.
