Peshawar: 2 drug pushers get life term
PESHAWAR: A local court on Saturday convicted two persons for drug pushing and sentenced them to life imprisonment each with fine of Rs50,000. The court of additional district and sessions judge, Mr Arshid Khan, pronounced that the prosecution had proved its case against the two accused persons, Qaiser and Zareef, both residents of Punjab. The convicts were arrested by local police on Aug 9, 2011, in the limits of University Town police station when they were travelling in a car. Police claimed that they had recovered 79 kilograms of charas concealed in the secret cavities of the vehicle.
