Dacoits strike 8 times, injure 3 in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA: Dacoits and thieves robbed people of cash and valuables in eight incidents here on Monday. In the first incident, two bandits waylaid Asim and his wife on Mandiala Road and snatched cash, gold ornaments and a mobile phone from them. In the second incident, Amin and Mukhtar were on their way when two dacoits intercepted them and tried to rob them of valuables but they resisted. This infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured them. The injured people were shifted to the DHQ Hospital. Contentment police are investigating.
In the third incident, two dacoits intercepted Arif on Noshera Road and robbed him of Rs 7,000 and a mobile phone at. They also injured Arif on resistance. The injured man was shifted to a hospital. In the fourth incident, two bandits waylaid Wapda employee Sajjad and his friend Jamshaid near a plaza and snatched Rs 6,900, a mobile phone and the motorcycle from them. Kotwali police are investigating.
In the fifth incident, Asghar Ali and his wife were on their way when three dacoits, including Rizwan, robbed them of Rs 5,000 and gold ornaments near Aiman village. Ladhewala Warraich police have registered a case and started investigations.
In the sixth incident, thieves took away the motorcycle of Bashir from Emenabad Morre. Emenabad police are investigating. In the seventh incident, thieves entered the house of Waqas at Garjakh and stole cash and valuables. In the eighth incident, burglars stole cash and valuables from the house of Shahbaz at Wapda Town. Sadr police are investigating.
