Quaidabad: DPC chief held in theft case
QUAIDABAD: The police arrested District Peace Committee (DPC) president following cancellation of his pre–arrest bail in theft case. The Quaidabad Police registered a case on charge of stealing 600 tons of gypsum, worth Rs0.4m on the report of one M Shafiq. The case has been registered against District Peace Committee President M Ilyas and his six companions. The police have started investigation into the case. On the other hand, Mohammad Ilyas denied the charges, saying that he was the actual leaseholder of the place from where gypsum was being dug out.
