Burewala: Couple stabbed to death over property dispute
BUREWALA: A couple was stabbed to death over a property dispute at Chak 257/EB here on Wednesday morning. Mian Muhammad Saleem was reciting the Holy Quran at the roof of his house when his cousin Talib Hussain, son of Muhammad Ashraf, reached there and injured him with a knife. The attacker also stabbed his wife Nusrat Bibi when she came to rescue her husband. Both were critically injured and died on way to Burewala THQ Hospital. After the incident, Gaggo Mandi SHO Rai Muhammad Akram, SI Rao Rehmat Ali and Tajpura Police Post in charge Sarwar Khan reached the spot and arrested the accused with the weapon.
The police have handed over the bodies to the aggrieved families after autopsy. Saleem was a retired employee of Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL). He had a property dispute with his relatives. He is survived by three sons and two daughters. The Gaggo Mandi police have registered a case against the accused and started investigations.
