Faisalabad: Woman killed over marriage dispute
FAISALABAD: A woman was pushed to death by her relatives over marriage dispute in the limit of Thikriwala police station. According to the police, Muhammad Saleem along with his sons Muhammad Nadeem and Tasleem went to the house of his relative Muhammad Sardar and demanded hand of his daughter for marriage. When Sardar refused to accept the marriage proposal for his daughter, they started exchange of harsh words which later converted into a scuffle. During scuffle, the accused pushed aged lady Sakina Bibi, mother of Sardar, who received critical injuries and was rushed to hospital where she breathed her last.
The police registered a case and started investigation. In another incident a young woman was crushed to death by a speeding tractor while 4 others sustained severe injuries in the area of Rajana police station. According to the police, a rashly-driven tractor hit 5 persons including three women sitting in front of their house in Chak No.191–GB.
As a result, the all received serious injuries and were shifted to hospital where 40–year–old Shabana Bibi breathed her last while Muhammad Siddique, Hameedan Bibi, Muhammad Ramzan and his 10–year–old daughter Memona are still in critical condition. While, Tarkhani police has recovered a dead body from a canal passing through its jurisdiction. According to the police, some unidentified assailants strangulated a youth (24) to death and threw his corpse in a Gogera Branch Canal to conceal the evidences of the crimes. Some passersby witnessed the human corpse floating at the surface of canal water near Chak No.138–GB and they informed the police about it.
