Islamabad: 12 held in Capital
ISLAMABAD: In a bid to maintain foolproof security in the federal capital, police conducted search operations, especially in the vicinity of Margalla hills. It was a normal exercise as the capital police have been repeating the same exercise continually, said a spokesperson of Islamabad police on Friday. This time teams of Margallah Police Station headed by Station House Officer Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lassi conducted search operation in villages including Kalinger, Chontra, Gandhian around Margalla hills and home to ruling elite and shifted them to police stations for interrogation.
Likewise, police teams of Bhara Kahu Police Station conducted a routine search operation in supervision of SHO Inspector Nazeer and held some suspects from various villages including Athal and Sari Chowk. According to spokesperson, 10 people were rounded up during search operation.
Following directions from the SSP Islamabad capital police, a number of other police stations including Bani Gala conducted search operation in their jurisdiction to ensure strict vigilance, however, no one was held there.
According to a spokesperson of Islamabad capital police, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed all heads of all police stations to maintain high vigilance in their respective areas and screen houses, workshops, markets, under construction buildings and residential areas.
