Quaidabad: Police seize 12 kgs of heroin
QUAIDABAD: The police claimed to have recovered 12 kilograms of heroin from a suspicious car during snap-checking here. Addressing a press conference Khushab DPO Azhar Akram said that a special team was constituted under the supervision of DSP Madam Riffat Sultana and Organized Crime Cell Inspector Mohammad Ashraf Ranjha to root out narcotics from the region. On a tip-off, a police led by Inspector Ashraf Ranjha set up a picket a road near Hadali. Meanwhile, the signalled a suspicious car SH–335 but the driver tried to escape.
However, the police caught the car after a chase and upon search, recovered 6 kg of heroin from Yasmeen Bibi, widow of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Budhpur Peshawer and 6 kg from Sheir Ali, son Raheem Gul, a resident of Shabqedar Charsadda. The DPO announced reward for the Inspector and his team.
