Sukkur: 50 peasants freed from bonded labour
SUKKUR: Police freed 50 peasants from the private jail of a landlord in Ghotki. Ghulam Hussain Shaikh maintained in his petition filed in the Sindh High Court Circuit Bench that a landlord was keeping him as well as his relatives for forced labour in a private jail. The court ordered the police to ensure the release of bonded labourers. The Obaro Police near Khaijo Wari area conducted a raid on the Autaq of Abdul Malik Mahar and freed more over 50 bonded labourers. Police later produced the released at the Sindh High Court Circuit Bench Sukkur.
