11 arrested in Mardan search
MARDAN: The police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 11 people for alleged involvement in the recent bomb attack on the Mohib Banda police post. The blast partially damaged the checkpost and injured Constable Ajmal Khan on Monday night. The official sources said a search operation was launched in the area early in the day in which 11 suspects were arrested. The arrested persons were identified as Rabta Ali, Khairul Bashar, Sohail, Mohammad Wajid, Akhtar Hussain, Mohammad Azam, Salman, Bahadur Khan, Bahadur Zeb, Khan Bacha and Gul Sidique.
Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen killed a security guard of the Rahman Cotton Mills Limited and dumped his body near a graveyard in Takht Bhai tehsil, the police said. Bahadur Khan, a resident of Umara Khan Killay, reported to the police that his bother Nadir Khan left his house at 12 noon for work but did not return. He said he later found his body near a graveyard in the area. He also said the family had no enmity with anyone.
