Karachi: British deputy HC employee robbed
KARACHI: An employee of the British deputy high commission was thrown into confusion when four motorcyclists disguised as police officials robbed him outside his residence on Thursday. The housemaids and security guards of Shariyar were moving his baggage to a British deputy high commission vehicle when armed men, dressed in police uniforms, intercepted them in the Darakshan police limits. After looting cash, laptop and cellphones the outlaws fled.
SSP South Asif Aijaz Shiekh told The News that Shariyar was about to leave for the airport to catch a flight to the US when the crime was committed.
Later, Sheikh suspended all the Madadgar 15 officials of Sea View checkpost with immediate effect.
SSP told The News that 15 Madagar officials were involved in robbing picnickers at Sea View and not performing their duties.
