Karachi: CID arrests 3 ‘street criminals’
KARACHI: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday arrested three people allegedly involved in robbery and other forms of street crime. SSP CID Mazhar Mashwani told The News that the police intercepted a sport utility vehicle in Block–17 of Gulistan–e–Jauhar. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a Kalashnikov, two TT pistols and over 50 bullets. The suspects were identified as Muhammad Moosa, Muhammad Adnan and Syed Yousuf Ali.
The police claimed that during the initial interrogation, the detained men confessed to their involvement in a number of robberies.
The accused had previously been arrested by the Airport, Aziz Bhatti and Civil Lines police stations and were currently on bail.
