Hafizabad: ‘Corrupt’ clerk caught
HAFIZABAD: A Health Department clerk was caught red–handed by the Anti–Corruption Establishment. ACE Inspector Rana Muhammad Ramzan along with Judicial Magistrate Sadaat Rasool raided the Accounts Office and caught Nasarullah when he was taking Rs5,000 as bribe from a retired official, Fateh Sher, for disbursing his GP fund amount. The raiding party seized the bribe recovered from the accused and registered a case.
According to Fateh Sher, he was struggling to get the payment of GP funds. He alleged the accused had earlier minted Rs11,000 and later he demanded Rs5,000 more. He informed the ACE, which raided and nabbed the accused.
TMA sends graft cases to ACE: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has sent graft cases of six employees to the Anti–Corruption for booking them.
According to Administrator Sohail Ahmad Khan, Finance Officer Rana Zulfiqar Ali, Recovery Officers Shahid Mahmood, and Khizar Hayat, Clerk Aurangzeb, Water Carrier Arif and Jahanghir had fleeced 38 businessmen and 34 traders and the allegations were proved in the inquiry.
Hence, the administrator has forwarded the case to the ACE.
