Nankana Sahib: Abduction, torture of bank cashier; Court orders case against SHO, other cops
NANKANA SAHIB: The additional district and sessions judge on Friday ordered Shah Kot Sadr police to register a case against its SHO and other policemen on the charges of abducting and torturing a bank cashier. In a petition, bank cashier Ghulam Shabbir Bajwa alleged that Shah Kot Sadr SHO Sajjad Akbar and two policemen illegally entered his house and abducted him. He further alleged that the policemen took him to Chandar Kot CIA police post where SHO Rana Sajjad Akbar, Inspectors Maulvi Khaliq and Saadi Ahmad and other policemen severally tortured him. He said that the next day, the accused policemen handed him over to the Shah Kot Sadr police, who released him.
