Quetta: Woman among 4 dead in Balochistan violence
QUETTA: Two people were killed in a landmine blast and firing incidents in Jaffarabad and Mastung while two dead bodies were recovered from Hub, on Monday. As per reports reaching here, a man, Muhammad Ibrahim, was on his way in RD 238 area of Jaffarabad when he stepped on a landmine laid by unidentified people. As a result, landmine exploded with a big bang killing him on the spot. Local administration moved the body to nearby hospital for autopsy and later handed over it to heirs for burial.
In another incident, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire at Mastung bus stop and killed one Noor Ahmed, before being escaped from the scene.
The deceased was moved to hospital, however, motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.
Moreover, police recovered two dead bodies, one of them a woman, from a residence in Hub – the industrial town of Balochistan.
The bodies were moved to nearby hospital where male’s body was identified as Abdul Khaliq.
Police have registered a case and started further investigation into the killing.
