2 shot dead in Quetta
QUETTA: Two persons were gunned down in Eastern Bypass area, on the outskirts of the provincial capital on Tuesday while two bodies were found in Kalat and Gwadar districts. According to the police, unknown armed men killed and dumped the two bodies in Eastern Bypass area of Quetta city. The officials rushed to the spot while the bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medico–legal formalities. “They were shot dead as bullet wounds were visible on their bodies,” hospital sources said. “They were returning from funeral prayers of their relatives when they were targetted,” hospital sources said. The deceased were identified as Khan Muhammad and Khalid Dad both belonged to the Marri tribe residents of Quetta. However, motive behind the murders could not be ascertained.
The case has been registered against unknown persons while investigation is underway. Another incident Levies Force recovered a bullet–riddled body near Surab area of Kalat district. According to Levies officials, acting on a tip off, they reached the site and took body into custody which was dumped in an open area after killing. Later, the body was shifted to the district headquarters hospital’s morgue for identification. In another similar incident, a tortured body of an unidentified person was found near Custom’s House Gwadar.
