Islamabad: 4 POs among 12 outlaws arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 16 outlaws including four proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered stolen valuables as well as arms and cans of beer from their possession, a police spokesman said. According to details, ASI Khan Baig from Bani Gala Police Station arrested an accused namely Waheed Mehmud and recovered a 30–bore pistol and five cans of beer from his possession. Sub–Inspector Tariq Pervez from Shehzad Town police arrested two thieves Sajjad and Faizan besides recovering stolen items from them. Likewise, Sub–Inspector Muhammad Abbas apprehended two thieves Abdul Ghani and Yousuf.
Meanwhile, four proclaimed offenders were arrested wanted to Islamabad police in various crime cases. Industrial area and Shehzad Town police station also nabbed four and two suspects respectively during search operation in their respective areas. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing.
