Karachi: 2 testify in murder case
KARACHI: The same court recorded on Tuesday the evidence of two prosecution witnesses in a murder case, but they remained unable to identify the accused. Kamran Khan alias Madhuri has been charged with killing Amir within the remit of the Awami Colony police station in January 2010. The two prosecution witnesses — complainant Nafees Haider and eyewitness Rashid — recorded their statements. However, they neither identified nor deposed against the accused.
The complainant said that the deceased was his nephew and he lodged the case against unknown accused while Kamran was booked in the case on the basis of a statement of co-accused Sultan Kapal.
The eyewitness testified that he had not seen the present accused while committing the offence.
The court adjourned the hearing till Aug 2 for statements of the remaining witnesses.
A case (FIR 21/10) was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC.
