Karachi: Man, son among 4 killed separately
KARACHI: Four people including a man and his son were killed in separate acts of violence in different parts of the metropolis on Tuesday. Sher Bahadur, 65, and his son Muhammad Sher Ali, 35, were shot dead while their third family member Hazrat Ali was injured in their house during a brawl at Charnal Road within the jurisdiction of Jackson police station. The bodies and the injured were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medicolegal formalities. Police officials said that during a brawl between victims and their neighbors on petty issue, victims’ neighbour opened fire on them and escaped from the scene. No case was registered till the filing of the report.
Separately, police found a bullet–riddled body of a young man from Malir riverbed within the remits of Shah Latif police station. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico legal formalities, while the victim identified as 28–year–old Zohaib Rasool, was the resident of Salar Goth, situated in Malir area. Station House Officer Malik Saleem said that Zohaib was a member of the Sohail Ladla group of the Lyari gangster. The police conjectured that Zohaib was killed by his companion. The police said that several cases of crime were registered against him. After completing the legal formalities, the body was handed over to his family. Similarly, another bullet–riddled body was found near Darwesh Hotel in Lyari area in Kalri police precincts. The body of a 30–year–old youth was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy and later moved to morgue for identification. SHO Safdar Mashwani said the victim belonged to Baloch community. He said unidentified culprits kidnapped him from somewhere and shot six times in different parts of his body, and later threw the body fat said place. However, the identification of the victim was yet to be ascertained till filing of the report.
