Karachi: Man, son shot dead over ‘neighbourly dispute’
KARACHI: A man and his son were shot dead in a Keamari locality over a petty dispute on Tuesday, said police. The officials added that the incident took place in Boota Village within the remit of the Jackson police station where two neighbours had a heated debate before using firearms against one another. As a result of the firing, Sher Bahadur, 65, and his son, Sher Ali, 40, suffered serious gunshot wounds and died before they could be shifted to a nearby private hospital.
Later, the bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico–legal formalities.
The police said that the killers escaped following the incident.
Jackson SHO Yar Mohammad Rind said that a day earlier both the neighbours had an altercation but they were pacified by the area people. However, they again quarrelled on Tuesday over the issue of privacy of their houses, he added.
