Karachi: Bandit kills accomplice
KARACHI: In a separate case, a falling out between a two alleged bandits during a robbery resulted in one of them shooting his partner dead outside the State Life Insurance Company office near the Baloch Colony Bridge. A female receptionist witnessed the incident and told the police that the suspected bandits snatched some valuables and were in the process of fleeing when they got involved in an argument. One of the robbers then drew his weapon and killed his partner in crime.
SHO Ishaq Lashari said that the police shifted the body to the JPMC and cordoned off the scene of the crime. He added that the police did not find a weapon on the man who was killed nor was there any form of identification on the victim’s person.
The victim was later identified as Sajid, then son of Toomar Khan, and the police said the deceased had a criminal record.
Also, Abdul Rahim was gunned down at a house in the Faqeer Colony of Mominabad on Wednesday morning.
SHO Nasir Mehmood of the Mominabad police station said that they found the victim lying dead on the floor of the residence. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).
The deceased was a labourer and worked at a beverage company in SITE and originated from Swat. According to the family, Rahim came home on Tuesday night with two of his colleagues. When his relatives woke up on Wednesday morning, they found Rahim dead in his room. He had been shot twice in the dead.
SHO Mehmood said that Rahim’s father was married three times and all the wives lived in the same house, while the victim was still unmarried. He found it rather surprising that none of the family members heard the gunshots that killed Rahim.
