Landi Kotal: Sentenced for drug smuggling
LANDI KOTAL: The Khyber Agency political administration separately sentenced two drug dealers to 14 years imprisonment while four other accused were awarded a collective imprisonment of nine years. Officials said that Fazal Rehman, a resident of Charsadda, was arrested on June 15 while a local resident Mohammad Iqbal was arrested in January this year and a huge quantity of charas and heroin was recovered from their possession.
The two were awarded 14 years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs100,000. The two will undergo additional three months of imprisonment if they fail to deposit the fine.
The other four who were awarded nine years of collective imprisonment included Mukaram Khan, Zeemat Khan, Mohammad Jameel and Said Nazir. All the convicts were later sent to Peshawar prison.
