Lakki Marwat: Over 40 held in operation
LAKKI MARWAT: Police cracked down on criminals and arrested 42 people, including two proclaimed offenders and five gamblers, on Saturday. “A police party led by DPO Umar Riaz combed several parts of the district especially the areas bordering the frontier tribal region in search of militants and outlaws,” said an official. He said personnel of anti–terror squad and elite force along with armoured personnel carrier vehicles also took part in the operation.
He said two dreaded outlaws identified as Ali Jan and Rafiullah were arrested in Tap Takhtikhel and Naserkhel localities. “They were wanted by police in murder and kidnapping cases,” he maintained. He said the law enforcers also arrested 35 suspects and five gamblers along with bet money of Rs1,470 during the daylong operation.
