2 traders among 4 shot dead in Sukkur
SUKKUR: Four people, including two traders, were shot dead in different incidents on Monday. Unidentified bandits barged into the house of Abdul Ghaffar Soomro in Mehar and shot him dead when he offered resistance. The bandits later fled with cash and jewelry. Later, traders shut down their businesses in protest against the killing. Unidentified robbers shot dead another trader, Uris Khatty, and injured Mumtaz and Haji Tayab at their house when they offered resistance. In another incident, an employee of the education department, Liaquat Khoso, was shot dead by unidentified bandits at his home in Khairpur Nathan Shah.
In Umerkot, Noor Muhammed Khoso shot dead his nephew, Rashid Khoso, over a minor issue. Meanwhile, Muhammed Siddique and Ghulam Mahadi Shaikh, both residents of Hyderabad, were feared to have drowned in the Indus River at Jamshoro. Efforts were on to retrieve their bodies from the river.
Also, Sanam Mughari drowned in the Rice Canal in Larkana. Meanwhile, a man shot dead his wife and her alleged paramour in Ghotki. The accused was identified as Ali Sheer Shar while the deceased as Chattul and Muhabat Shar.
Police were looking for the accused. Moreover, two persons committed suicide in different incidents. Shubaan Burdi shot himself dead in Kot Diji over financial difficulties while Sundhri hung herself in Khipro over some alleged marital issues.
Meanwhile, the rescue teams failed to retrieve the bodies of a woman and her two children 24 hours after the woman had jumped off into the Rohri Canal along with her children. The woman and her children were identified respectively as Azima, Waheeda and Abdul Waheed.
