Karachi: Police claim arresting TTP, Baba Ladla men
KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended a Tehreek–e–Taliban Pakistan (TTP) man, target killer and member of land mafia in separate raids, here on Tuesday. Pak Colony police apprehended an alleged member of TTP, identified as Inamullah. The suspect was arrested after a brief encounter when police conducted a raid about his presence near Mewa Shah graveyard while four of his companions managed to escape. He hails from Swat, and his group is suspected of being involved in murder of two police officers, ASI Ghufran of CID and head constable Abdul Qayyum in Pathan Colony in June 2012.
Separately, police also claimed to have arrested an alleged member of notorious Baba Ladla group of Lyari. The suspect was identified as Shahid alias Churail. Law enforcers claimed to have recovered a hand grenade, a TT pistol and five kg hashish from his possession. They said: “The accused during initial interrogation confessed to have killed ASI Aslam and several men belonging to the Urdu-speaking and Kachchi community.”
