Thieves have a field day in Pindi
RAWALPINDI: Two muggers barged into a house in the disguise of tenants and decamped with gold ornaments and mobile phones valuing thousands of rupees while a flight lieutenant was also robbed on gunpoint in different localities of the city. Meanwhile, auto theft gangs deprived citizens of two cars and two motorcycles here on Thursday. Nabila Siddiqui, wife of Fazal Karim, resident of Khana Kak, appeared before Police Station (PS) Sadiqabad and told that she was alone at her home when the door of her house was knocked. On responding, the men on the other side of the gate told her that they wanted to hire the portion of the house on rent and arrived to see the condition of the house available for rent.
She mentioned that as she opened the door, the two unknown robbers pointed a gun at her and later looted 18 tolas of gold ornaments and mobile phones and run away.
In the limits of PS Airport, Muhammad Hammad, a Flight Lieutenant, was intercepted by two armed robbers and deprived of his purse containing Rs 10,000 and other important documents.
Both the victims approached the area police, which took up the cases against the unidentified robbers and launched investigation.
On the other hand, a motorcycle (RIM-3774) owned by Muzamil Ayub was stolen from the precinct of PS Ganjmandi and bike bearing registration number RIR–7580 has been pilfered by vehicle lifters from the limits of PS Ratta Amral.
A car (RIP–2656) was lifted from the area of PS Waris Khan while another Suzuki Khyber car (FDV–6461) was also stolen from the area controlled by PS Sadiqabad.
On the complaints of the victim owners, the police filed cases and started investigation.
