Karachi: Cop’s son nabbed over robbery bid besides credit card thief
KARACHI: A policeman’s son was apprehended over his bid to rob a man who contacted him through an online shopping portal, here at Tariq Road within the precincts of Ferozabad police station. SHO Jhanzaib Khan said that the accused Kashif Manzoor, 21, son of Chauhadry Manzoor had posted an advertisement of used cell phone on an online shopping portal. A man contacted him through the portal and the rendezvous was fixed for Tariq Road. When his customer reached the meeting point, Kashif pulled out a pistol and tried to snatch the he brought for cell phone. The customer resisted and was supported by a bystander to overcome the suspect who was immediately turned in to the police.
SHO Khan informed that the accused was a resident of Police Quarters, Saddar. Police have registered a case and initiated probe. Separately, Ferozabad police nabbed a credit card thief near Agha Juice Centre, Nazimabad and recovered various electronics accessories from his possession. SHO Jhanzaib Khan informed that complainant, Amir reported that his credit card was stolen while he shopped in a market. Police, on a tip off, raided a place in Nazimabad and nabbed Muhammad Irfan, recovering an LCD, DVD, mobile phones, laptops and other electronic items from his possession. The recovered items were estimated to be worth more than Rs 0.4 million.
