Gujranwala: Jewellery, cash taken away in many hits
GUJRANWALA: Jewellery, cash and other valuables were taken away in many strikes here on Monday. Bandits including two women riding a car stopped Sadhoke Stand on GT Road and gave a lift to woman Shahnaz Akhtar of Madina Colony Kamoke. The car riders later snatched five–tola gold ornaments and Rs 5,500 in cash from the woman at gunpoint and pushed her out of the car. Kamoke Sadr Police are investigating. Three armed bandits waylaid Afzal of Ratta Road at Satellite Town market and snatched his motorbike GAN7980, cash and a cellphone. Nine armed bandits entered the house of Nisar Ahmad at Green Valley and snatched cash and a cellphone. Jinnah Road police are investigating. Two armed bandits waylaid Muhammad Sharif and snatched cash and a cellphone.
Two armed bandits waylaid trader M Kashif, his father Younas and servant Afzal outside Wapda Town and snatched Rs 300,000 in cash and cellphones and injured Younas on resistance. The victims were coming from a market. Gujranwala Sadr Police are investigating. Thieves took away car LEB1501 of Mazhar from outside a factory at Qila Chand. Thieves took away motorbike STP2922 of Pitras from Imamabad.
