Karachi: Police arrest 72 accused
KARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals, arrested 72 accused from different areas of the metropolis during the past three days. A police statement on Monday said that 47 pistols, two mousers, two rifles, two daggers and three mobile phones were recovered from the possession of those arrested. The police have registered cases and started investigation, it was further stated. Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has strongly condemned the murder of PPP leader Sardar Imam Bakhsh Baloch.
The chief minister has ordered the Additional IG Police Karachi to ensure the arrest of culprits and also ensure maintenance of law and order in the surrounding areas of Sohrab Goth. Police said Imam Bakhsh Baloch was gunned down in the limits of Sachal Police Station in Gulzar–e–Hijri area by two armed motorcyclists.
