Mardan: 4 held for collecting charity for banned outfits
MARDAN: Mardan police have arrested four persons on the charges of mobiliseing people for ‘Jihad’ and collecting charity for banned organisations in a mosque in the limits of city police station, police sources said. They said the city police station was informed that some people motivated and induced the masses for Jihad through loudspeaker after Zuhar prayer in the mosque of Municipal Plaza at Bigut Gunj Bazaar and are also collecting charity for a banned organisation named ‘Al–Rehman Trust’. Sources said that a police party came to the mosque and arrested four people identified as Minhaj–ud–Din Khalil son of Mir Bashir Khalil resident of Danishabad Tower street Peshawar, Shah Nawas son of Gul Nawas resident of Aladadkhel mohallah Gulbahar No 2 Mardan, Asif Ali son of Lal Mohammad resident of Mohallah Shah Sawar Mardan and Matiullah son of Hakeem Zareen resident of Mansab Killay Charsadda road Mardan.
Sources further said that police recovered 9mm pistol from Minhaj–ud–Din and also recovered 35,925 rupees and receipt books of Al–Rehman Trust from the arrested people. Police registered first information report (FIR) against the accused under section 11–N terrorist act and 13 AO and started investigation from them.
