Rawalpindi: 27 outlaws held; illegal arms, drugs seized
RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer Azhar Hameed Khokhar will hold an open court at Police Station RA Bazaar today (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m. to listen to public complaints. During the open court, being held in compliance with orders of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Haji Habib–ur–Rehman, the CPO will issue the orders to solve the public maladies. On the other hand, Police Station Wah Saddar officials recovered a stolen Honda Civic car, besides apprehending the vehicle lifter, informed police spokesman on Friday. According to him, PS Wah Saddar officials during an action recovered a stolen Honda Civic car from one Adil. Police also registered a case against the accused and put him behind the lock-up.
Similarly, police nabbed a total of 27 drug peddlers, illegal arms holders and those involved in one wheeling during an ongoing campaign from various localities of the city on Friday.
Police also recovered 220 grams of Hashish, 230 grams of heroin, 11 liquor bottles, 11 30–bore pistols with 34 bullets, one Kalashnikov with 10 rounds and a dagger from the possession of detainees, who after filing cases were being further interrogated by the police, the spokesman said.
