Islamabad: 5 ‘POs’ arrested
ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Monday claimed to have arrested five proclaimed offenders (POs) and eight suspects during a crackdown. According to details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan assigned task to all sub–divisional police officers (SDPOs) to launch crackdown against POs and conduct search operations in their respective areas. During the last 24 hours, Sihala and Shahzad Town police apprehended five POs who were wanted to police in various criminal activities. The Bara Kahu police also conducted search operation in its area and claimed to arrest seven suspects while Aabpara police also nabbed a suspect.
Meanwhile, Golra police said it arrested three alleged robbers. Ramna police also nabbed three alleged thieves and claimed to have recovered stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them.
