Karachi: 2 robbers jailed for 7 years
KARACHI: The additional district and sessions judge (East) on Wednesday convicted Akram Ali and Rehan in a robbery case and awarded seven years’ imprisonment to each convict. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs10,000 each. Failure to pay the fine would result in another term of two months’ rigorous imprisonment. The prosecution proved the case against the two convicts, who had robbed a shopkeeper, Naeem, of a mobile set and other valuables at gunpoint.
Later, the two were robbing other citizens in the Brigade police limits when a police party arrested them. The two were on bail and, as the court announced their convictions, the police arrested them and took them to the Central Prison.
