Karachi: Complaint against ‘rowdy’ lawyer
KARACHI: A lawyer allegedly misbehaved with court staff and did not maintain the decorum of a courtroom following the dismissal of the bail application of his client on Saturday. Accused Ihtisham, through his counsel, moved a bail application in a case registered under Section 489–F (dishonestly issuing a cheque for repayment of loan etc) of the Pakistan Penal Code. However, Additional District and Sessions Judge (south) Abdul Razzaq dismissed the plea after hearing both sides.
Court officials and witnesses said that as soon as the court pronounced its order Advocate Imtiaz Ali kicked a chair in the courtroom and reportedly misbehaved with the staff when he was asked to restrain himself.
The judge sent a complaint against the lawyer to the district and sessions court (south).
