Toba Tek Singh: Rajana police accused of releasing 2 rapists
TOBA TEK SINGH: The father of a gang–rape victim has accused the Rajana police of releasing two culprits. Abdul Rashid, a watchman at Government School, Chak 249/GB, told journalists that his 14–year–old daughter was going to fields when Zulfiqar and Sajid overpowered and raped her at gunpoint two weeks ago. He said that the accused had threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter. He said that after a week, both accused again asked her to come to fields for the same purpose and threatened to throw acid on her if she informed anyone about it. He said that her daughter had informed him and the police registered a case on his complaint. He said that the MLC had also proved the allegations.
He said that the accused families were asking him to leave the village. He alleged that the police had released the accused. He said that the police had registered a fake case against three people who were supporting him. When contacted, DPO Ahsan Younis claimed that the DNA test would be conducted on both accused and the victim. He said that action would be taken against the accused if proved guilty.
