Islamabad: 20 suspects, 13 outlaws held
ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested 20 suspects and 13 outlaws from various areas of the city during the search operation and recovered a stolen car, narcotics and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. On a tip-off, Sub–Inspector Ajmal Khan from Tarnol Police Station arrested Niaz Muhammad and recovered 1.040–kilogram hashish from him while ASI Abdul Majeed nabbed Manzoor and Haroon besides recovering stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them. ASI Ahmed Usman from Kohsar police recovered a Suzuki Mehran car (LEB–8543) from an accused Shehbaz Ahmed, which was found stolen from Naseerabad Police Station Lahore.
Sub–Inspector Muhammad Feeroz from Margallah police arrested Akhtar Gul for having 30–bore pistol while Sub–Inspector Muhammad Idrees from Tarnol police nabbed Arshad Mehmud for possessing 30–bore pistol too.
ASI Faiz Ahmed from Ramna police arrested a thief Maqbool while ASI Aurangzeb from Sihala police nabbed another thief Bahadar Khan. Sub–Inspector Muhammad Riaz from Industrial area police arrested four gangsters involved in snatching mobile phones and valuables from the women.
These gangsters were identified as Sajjad, Asima, Saima and Nargis.
Sub–Inspector Athar Khan from Sabzi Mandi police apprehended Abdul Haleem and Saadat for possessing two 30–bore pistols while Sub–Inspector Arshad Ali from Koral police nabbed Shakeel for having 115–gram hashish and 12-bore gun.
Loi Bher, Sihala police stations conducted search operation in their respective areas including Model town, Humak, Sawan camp, Sihala, Police Foundation, Loi Bher, Japan road and arrested 20 suspects.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
