Islamabad: 13 outlaws nabbed
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 13 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.100–kilogram hashish, stolen items worth Rs 240,000 and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday. According to details, Sub–Inspector Shahid Mehmud from Secretariat police arrested Umer Shehzad and recovered foreign currency worth Rs. 240,000 from him. Police have also obtained his two–day physical remand from the concerned court. Sub–Inspector Muhammad Khan from Sabzi Mandi police arrested a drug pusher Inayat Khan for having 1.100–kilogram hashish with him while ASI Khalid Javed from Shalimar police arrested Adil and Waqas Masih for their alleged involvement in power pilferage.
Sub–Inspector Muhammad Rafique from Industrial area police station nabbed a thief Ejaz.
Sabzi Mandi police recovered 30–bore pistol from an accused Abdul Haleem while Margallah police nabbed Akhtar for having 30 bore pistol.
The cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them. Shalimar police arrested six beggars while three suspects were arrested by Koral police during search operation in its area.
SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has directed the police officials to intensify patrolling in their respective areas and keep vigilant eye on the suspected elements.
