Islamabad: Robbers among offenders arrested
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 20 persons including four proclaimed offenders and 10 suspects from various areas of the city and recovered weapons and stolen items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. Following the special directions from IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yaseen Farooq to maintain special vigilance against suspected elements, Shehzad town police conducted search operation and nabbed six suspects while Bhara Kau and Aabpara police apprehended three suspects and one suspect respectively.
In special crackdown against absconders, Shehzad town police arrested two proclaimed offenders while Tarnol and Shalimar police nabbed one proclaimed offender each.
Meanwhile, Koral police arrested Sufyan Ahmed, Bilal and recovered two pistols from them. Another accused of a brawl was arrested in possession of 12 bore gun while Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ali from CIA police apprehended a thief Imran besides recovering stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them.
Tarnol police arrested two thieves identified as Maznoor , Haroon and recovered stolen items from them.
